Professor Annamaria Campanini’s presentation at PolyU on Global Immigration and Implications in Europe

Global Social Work Development Seminar Series comprise 2 topics – Global Immigration and Implications in Europe, and Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development: Implication for Social Work Education. The seminars took place on 14th and 15th December 2016 at PolyU and the City University of Hong Kong respectively, conducted by Professor Annamaria Campanini, President of International Association of Schools of Social Work (IASSW).

In view of the significant influxes of migrants and refugees in Europe, the seminar at PolyU on Global Immigration and Implications in Europe addressed and analyzed the European social policy and the social work intervention to face this problem. The UNCHR stated that 1.014.836 of immigrants and refugees pushed by civil war and terror arrived by boat in Europe in 2015. Around 30 participants from social work field attended this seminar.
