PolyU Signed Agreement with UCalgary for Educational and Research Collaborations

The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and The Governors of The University of Calgary (UCalgary) signed a Letter of Agreement (Agreement) today (20 September) at PolyU to promote exchanges and encourage collaborations between Department of Applied Social Sciences (APSS) of PolyU and Faculty of Social Work of UCalgary.

With the experience and expertise of the two institutions, this five-year collaboration aims to facilitate the exchange of faculty members, undergraduate and graduate students, and scholarly publications; develop collaborative research projects; and to organize joint academic and scientific activities.

The Agreement was signed by Dr Elizabeth Cannon, President and Vice Chancellor of UCalgary; Dr Dru Marshall, Provost and Vice-President (Academic) of UCalgary; Professor Jackie Sieppert, Dean of Faculty of Social Work of UCalgary; Professor Timothy W. Tong, President of PolyU; and Professor Daniel W.L. Lai, Chair Professor and Head of APSS of PolyU.
